The scientific research and production in Gravena Ltd. is based on the following fields: Field tests for analysis of pesticide residues and studies of the effectiveness of chemical and biological pesticides; Rearing of insect pests and beneficials to assist in studies of efficiency, selectivity, demonstrative field trials and baseline resistance studies of these products; Field studies with transgenic crops for composition and expression, effectiveness and impact on non-target organisms; Environmental monitoring transgenic crops.

The Gravena Ltd. is of the few companies to provide agricultural services because it has as professional consultants, high feedback to guide the activities of management of pests in agricultural properties. Concerning in commercial citrus orchards it“s driven about 30 million plants. In tomatoes, 2 million feet per year and in other crops including up avocado.

The Gravena Ltd. is the most well trained

in Means for delivering agricultural workshops for professional scouters of pests and pest managers based ecologically. A team of instructors have already trained 5975 scouters of pests in citrus, 1410 managers of pests of citrus, 790 scouters and managers of pests in tomatoes and 589 for coffee, and of other cultures like macadamia, papaya, etc.

The Gravena Ltd. rears (creates) in

their laboratories, insect pests for use in studies on field crops, parasitoid Cotesia flavipes for sugarcane biological control and Ageniaspis citricola to control Citrus leafminer, and the coccinellid predator Cryptolaemus montrouzieri, for the citrus mealybug control, and  selectivity tests for beneficial insect and mites of economic and environmental importance.
